Ever wondered how animals look at the Great Barrier Reef? To answer that, researchers at World Wildlife Fund (WWF) strapped a GoPro to a turtle and let it loose, and the result is an exquisite view of the endangered paradise.
In the quest to study the reasons behind the rapid depletion of the reef, turtles are proving an invaluable companion for the researchers. The three minute video shows off the pure beautify of the underwater paradise, as well as exotically-colored fish and marine life. The original footage was actually 15 minutes long, but three minutes in, the turtle was able to shake off the GoPro.
As per RT.com, WWF hopes the video will help in gathering support for their cause and put pressure on the Australian government to step up their preservation efforts. You can get a video tour of the Great Barrier Reef from the comfort of your couch via the video embedded below.
