India’s leading telecom players have been aggressively trying to compete with each other. While the initial focus was to offer competitive tariff plans, it has now shifted to offer add-ons like Amazon Prime or Netflix subscriptions to seal the deal. Among the leading telecom players, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and BSNL offer free subscription to these OTT platforms and the common denominator among them is Amazon Prime subscription. Vodafone was the first to introduce the idea of offering a free subscription to Netflix and it was followed by Airtel, which started offering a one year free subscription to Amazon Prime. Recently, state-owned BSNL also joined the likes of these two players, to offer free Amazon Prime subscription worth Rs 999 to its postpaid and broadband customers. Bharti Airtel plans with Amazon Prime subscription
Bharti Airtel is offering one year free Amazon Prime membership to its Postpaid subscribers enrolled to myPlan Infinity postpaid plans. The free subscription is available only on plans priced at Rs 499 or above. The offer is not available with Rs 399 postpaid plan, which remains one of the most popular postpaid plans for the telecom operator.
In order to redeem this offer, Airtel users need to log in to their My Airtel app and then tap on the Amazon Prime Video icon in the featured section. Those availing this free subscription will need to have an Amazon account eligible for Prime membership. Apart from its postpaid subscribers, Airtel is also offering the Prime membership to its V-Fiber broadband subscribers on plans starting at Rs 1,999. Airtel has also recently started offering a three month subscription to Netflix as part of the ‘Thank You’ campaign.
Vodafone plans with Amazon Prime subscription
Vodafone is also offering one year free subscription to Amazon Prime on plans priced at Rs 399 or above. Unlike Airtel, Vodafone is offering Amazon Prime membership to those who are on its base plan, which starts at Rs 399. This plan offers 40GB of monthly data with the option for rollover of unused data.

Apart from the Amazon Prime subscription, Vodafone also offers a three-month Netflix subscription to subscribers on Rs 1,999 RED postpaid plans. Subscribers of Rs 2,999 Vodafone RED postpaid plan get a Netflix subscription for one year.
BSNL plans with Amazon Prime subscription
The state-owned telco BSNL has been the most aggressive player in the market. It has been at the forefront to offer better plans than the private telecom players and now it has started offering free subscription to these OTT platforms as well. BSNL subscribers on postpaid plans priced at Rs 399 or above are eligible for free Amazon Prime membership.
The offer is valid for those who have subscribed to BSNL broadband plan with monthly rental of Rs 745 or above. In order to redeem the offer, BSNL users have to visit the official website and click on the ‘BSNL Amazon Offer’ to receive an OTP and activate the offer on their Amazon account.
