Acer has unveiled a number of laptops in its Aspire, Swift and Predator series, and LG has announced the world s first 88-inch 8K OLED TV which will be showcased at the event. Meanwhile, in India, LG has launched the Q7 smartphone, Vodafone has introduced new prepaid plan with call and data benefits, whereas the Samsung Galaxy S8+ has got a price cut, yet again. Ahead of IFA 2018, Acer has announced the world s lightest 15-inch notebook called Swift 5, and it weighs less than one kilograms (just 990 grams). With prices starting at $1,099 (approximately Rs 77,700), the laptop features a screen-to-body ratio of 87.6-percent, a full HD IPS touchscreen, and is powered by Intel s latest 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8565U and Core i5-8265U processors. The company has also refreshed its Aspire portfolio with new laptops and all-in-one (AIO) PC. There are three models Aspire 3, Aspire 5 and Aspire 7, all placed in different price segments, with prices starting at Rs 32,900 approximately. The Aspire Z24, on the other hand, is an all-in-one PC priced at 899 Euros (approximately Rs 74,100). It will go on sale starting October in select countries.
Acer has also unveiled Predator Triton 900, a 2-in-1 convertible with a flipping screen. It comes with fourth generation Aeroblade 3D fans along with a fully mechanical keyboard, and a 4K touchscreen display with support for Nvidia G-Sync.
LG 88-inch 8K OLED TV
Yes, we may still be struggling for 4K content, but that doesn t stop companies from launching TVs and monitors with future technologies. LG, for once, has announced the 88-inch 8K OLED TV, which it will be showcasing at the IFA 2018 event. The TV supports resolution of 7680×4320 pixels. LG claims that the TV has over 33 million self-emitting pixels to produce an unparalleled contrast ratio and true blacks.
Samsung Galaxy S8+ price in India slashed
Soon after the launch of the new Galaxy Note 9, Samsung gave the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ a price cut, along with Galaxy Note 8. Now, the Galaxy S8+ has also got a Rs 12,000 price cut after which you can now buy it at Rs 39,990.

Vodafone Rs 597 prepaid plan with long validity
When it comes to prepaid plans, you can choose the ones that offer a good amount of daily data with validity between 28 days to 90 days. Otherwise, if you don t need more data, you can go for a plan with longer validity. Vodafone has launched the new Rs 597 plan that offers 10GB 3G / 4G data and 168 days validity.
Vodafone has also doubled the data on its Rs 458 prepaid plan, which offers 84 days validity. Earlier, the plan offered 1.4GB daily data, but now you get 2.8GB data per day.
LG Q7 launched in India
Meanwhile, there are other stories that you may have missed out too. Moto G7 with waterdrop notch has been leaked, Xiaomi could soon launch its Mi Pay service in India, Realme 2 Pro is set to launch in India on September 28 with upgraded hardware. Uber Elevate could launch flying taxis in India, and Google Tez, which is now rebranded as Google Pay gives you an opportunity to earn rewards of up to Rs 100,000 on transactions.
