ACT Fibernet has just launched Gigabit broadband services plans, that will provide 1Gbps speeds for the residents of Chennai. Last year, the company had launched similar plans of Gigabit broadband services in the cities of Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
The plan of ACT Giga comes with a speed of 1Gbps up until an FUP limit of 3,000GB, and is priced at Rs 2,999. And the only way to drive the price of the connection is to take a subscription for six months that gives the user a free month. This same offer is also available for those availing the connection for a period of 12 months, in which case they will be granted two free months of service. The prices of the retail plan costs Rs 2,999 for the month, Rs 17,994 for six months, and Rs 35,988 for 12 months.
Users can have their present broadband plans upgraded to the Giga plan by paying just an installation charge of Rs 2,000. New users too will be charged the same amount for installation.

ACT Fibernet also has SME (Small Medium Enterprise) plans, and the ACT SME Silver plan that offers 1Gbps speeds up to an FUP of 4,000GB has a starting price of Rs 2,999. This plans offers 1,000GB more than the retail plans. The SME plans have incremental plans with every 1,000GB more costing Rs 1,000 more, and the speeds after FUP go up by 1Mbps with every 1,000GB. But the last plan costing Rs 8,999 offers 10,000GB worth of data at 1Gbps before FUP and 10Mbps after.
