With an aim of becoming the complete urban transport solution provider, Ola is said to working on a bus aggregating service. Quite similar to how it works with cabs, it will inform users of the closest tourist or chartered buses. Users will need to enter a destination and time, and the app will inform about the nearest available bus and available seats. Rather than a separate app, a bus option will be added to the existing OlaCabs app, which already includes cabs, autorickshaws, and kaali-peeli taxis. According to the publication, Ola is planning to launch this service in the next two months.
As mentioned above, Ola has branched out into new directions by launching services like Ola Caf and Ola Store. The former is a 20 minutes food delivery service launched in four cities. The latter, on the other hand, is an online grocery delivery service launched earlier today in Bangalore. Going forward, Ola is also reportedly toying with the idea of a courier service a la UberRUSH.
