It’s October 2018. This year’s Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL is here. Obviously, Google takes to Twitter to announce to the world the device’s features. People respond, and it’s life as usual. Then comes along Samsung, with some witty responses.

It all began here. Then comes along Samsung, replying to user LacefieldLee’s comment around the notch with “you could land a plane on it.” It didn’t end there, with some users trying to make fun of Samsung as well.
So the new plan of shitsung is to make fun of other companies? Man, they lame

Since it was feeling happy that day, the US handle for Samsung went ahead and tweeted back. What followed were a couple of exchanges between Samsung US and Twitter users that were seeing the Pixel tweet.
Watch: Google Pixel 3 XL hands-on
This isn’t the first time that brands have tweeted to each other or have taken digs at each other. Samsung is also known to create TV ads that make fun of Apple and its iPhone lineup. Last November, Samsung posted an ad mocking the iPhone X for this notch and lack of stylus support.
Since Samsung’s Galaxy Note series comes with dedicated stylus support with the S-pen, it was expected to target a competitor’s flagship product that lacked a specific feature. However, this witty exchange that took place with Google caught attention on Twitter considering that Google and Samsung work together since all Samsung flagship devices run on Android by Google. Perhaps in a stiffly competitive market, they all need to get aggressive to eat a bigger slice of the pie. Meanwhile, this is certainly not the last of such tweets that we’d be seeing. It would definitely be interesting to see if Google decides to respond to Samsung.
