Sports fans have a lot to look forward in the coming months, and Facebook is encouraging you to get your game faces on. The social media giant is letting users customize their profile photos to show support for their favorite teams. One can add the badge of their favorite team on the profile photo, which will remain there as long as you want it to. Here’s how to customize your Facebook profile photo to show support for your favorite team. To customize your profile photo, head over to Facebook’s Game Face page. You will need to be logged in to your Facebook account, or you will be prompted to do so. On the left you will first see editing options for your profile photo. You can either zoom in or out as per your liking, or drag the photo to set it in the correct position. If need be, you can change your profile photo as well.
Once you are happy with your profile photo, you can select the badge you want to add to your photo. You can select from options like Cricket, NBA (Basketball), MLB (Baseball), Rugby, Tennis or Football. Under football you can also select teams from different leagues like Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga and Serie A among others.
Facebook users have used their profile photos as means to express support at various times — aftermath of the Paris attacks, before the release of Star Wars or supporting Modi’s Digital India initiative. It launched the Game Face page in October last year, but started out by just adding American college football teams. But as we inch towards the end of the football season, as well as gear up for the T20 Cricket World Cup, we have many more teams and sports to choose from.
