A few hours after Apple’s Indian distributor partners revealed the November 2 launch date and pricing for the iPhone 5, Aircel has put up a coming soon teaser on its website. The company has not revealed any other details yet but then that’s what we are there for, isn’t it?
We hear that both Aircel and Airtel will have the iPhone 5 but this time they won’t be distributing it like they did with the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Like every year, both carriers (and probably most Apple Premium Resellers too) will have a midnight launch on November 2. At least one of the two carriers will be offering reverse subsidy plans that were first introduced with the iPhone 4 and exclusively reported by BGR India back then. So for users who want to go with a carrier-based reverse subsidy plan, the iPhone 5 plans are going to be similar as earlier.
Even the pricing of the iPhone 5 will be the same, which starts from Rs 45,500 and goes up to Rs 59,500. Both Aircel and Airtel will change the user’s SIM card to Nano SIM card if they are their subscribers.
