Airtel today announced its 4G LTE services for mobile phones across four towns in Punjab Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Phagwara and Kapurthala. Following the success of the launch of its 4G services in Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Panchkula, Mohali, Ludhiana and Kolkata, the service will enable customers in these cities to enjoy high-speed Internet not only on their smartphones but also enable the same speed with 4G LTE dongles and Wi-Fi at home. The network operator is also expected to soon launch 4G services in Gurgaon. Customers on iPhone 5S or iPhone 5C can start using 4G experience right away by upgrading to USIM (Universal SIM)/4G SIM and selecting a plan of their choice from an affordable range of offers. Similar to other cities, the network carrier has partnered Apple and will be offering 4G on mobile services for iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C on the move. Airtel also offers free 4G SIM with every purchase of dongle which is priced at Rs 1,500 or CPE priced at Rs 2,500, whereas for the mobile users it will cost a nominal amount of Rs 49. The plans will start as low as Rs 100. For heavy users, Airtel has an Rs 999 for postpaid users and Rs 995 for prepaid users, which will gives them 10GB of data.
