What Airtel is essentially doing is offering the iPhones with EMIs that come bundled with the company’s postpaid plans. Here’s a detailed explanation as to how much you have to pay and the benefits that come along. The iPhone 7 32GB in all four colors of Black, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold, is available with a down payment of Rs 7,777. After this down payment, you will need to pay Rs 2,499 every month for a period of 24 months. The EMI of Rs 2,499 is actually an Airtel postpaid plan.
So by paying Rs 2,499, Airtel postpaid users are entitled to a couple of offers starting with unlimited calling, and 30GB of data per month. You can also claim one free connection for a family member. You can do this by downloading My Airtel app, clicking on the Family savings banner and adding a family member. An SMS will be sent to complete the process. Lastly, you can claim handset damage protection for your iPhone 7. The iPhone 7 32GB is priced at Rs 47,777, but purchasing it from Airtel’s online store you end up paying Rs 67,753 which is Rs 19,976 more. As for the iPhone 7 128GB you have to pay down payment of Rs 16,300. The iPhone 7 Plus 32GB and 128GB variants are available with down payments of Rs 17,300 and Rs 26,000 respectively. In comparison, the iPhone 7 32GB is available at a discounted price of Rs 38,999 on e-commerce websites, Amazon India and Flipkart. No Cost EMIs on the purchase of the iPhone 7 32GB for a period of 24 months also amount to Rs 45,382 after a 15 percent interest. It’s understandable that you do not receive any other offers with this EMI plans though.
