Airtel customers in Mysore can now access 4G LTE technology and enjoy the most advanced Internet experience, the company said in a statement. They will get a complimentary upgrade to Airtel 4G at 3G prices, it added. Airtel 4G service will allow customers to enjoy capabilities like high definition video streaming with zero buffering, downloading 10 movies in less than 30 minutes and uploading entire photo albums in less than five minutes, it said. “According to a report by the Internet and Mobile Association of India and IMRB International, India has reached 143 million social media users in April. Of these, 61 percent access social media on their mobile devices,” Bharti Airtel CEO (Karnataka) C Surendran said. As more and more Indians discover the power of the Internet, Airtel is excited to launch Airtel 4G for customers in Mysore and make the fastest Internet experience more accessible, he added. In April 2012, Airtel had launched India’s first 4G services in Kolkata. Its 4G services are now available in Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mangalore, Pune, Chandigarh and Amritsar.
