Airtel has refreshed is first recharge (FRC) prepaid plans with more 4G data. The maximum data offered by Airtel for the users joining their network is now up to 126GB. The Airtel FRC prepaid plans start from Rs 178 and go up to Rs 559. The base Airtel FRC 178 prepaid plan for users joining the Bharti Airtel network offers 1GB of 3G/4G data for a period of 28 days. Consumers also get benefits of unlimited local, STD and roaming outgoing calls along with 100 SMSes per day. Also Read - Airtel introduces offers with more data and benefits during the pandemic
But if someone needs more data FUP, then the Airtel FRC 229 will give them 1.4GB data per day for a period of 28 days. Other unlimited benefits will remain same as FRC 178. Airtel gives the same plan to existing subscribers at Rs 199, but only for the first recharge Airtel is taking Rs 30 extra. Later all the consumers becomes eligible for all the existing plans.
In total Airtel has five FRC plans now. The third one is of Rs 344. It offers 2GB data benefit per day but for same 28 days validity. Other calls and SMS benefits are same as previous two FRC plans.
Lastly, the Airtel FRC 495 and FRC 559 prepaid plans will offer 1.4GB data benefit per day with 84 days and 90 days validity, respectively. Both the plans will also offer similar unlimited calls and 100 SMSes/day as per TRAI guidelines.
To remember, all these plans work for the first recharge on Airtel SIM card. Either you purchase a new Airtel SIM card or you port from your existing network to Airtel. Similar is that case with Vodafone, the operator charges premium for the first unlimited plan recharge from customers. In case of Jio, consumers pay extra Rs 99 to be Jio Prime subscriber first.
