Now, Airtel has introduced a new prepaid recharge plan priced at Rs 159 which takes on Reliance Jio s Rs 149 plan and Vodafone s Rs 159 plan. The new plan from Airtel offers three benefits calling, data and SMS. The plan includes unlimited calling, and 100 free local and national SMS daily. Users also get a validity of 21 days when they recharge with Rs 159 plan. Lastly, it also includes 1GB 3G / 4G data, but with a little twist. As noted by TelecomTalk, if you have Airtel as your primary connection, you will get 1GB daily data, but if it is your temporary connection, you will get 1GB data valid through the validity period of 21 days. In comparison, the Rs 159 plan from Vodafone is an open market plan and offers 1GB daily 3G / 4G data, along with unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS daily. The plan also comes with 28 days validity, compared to 21 days validity offered by Airtel.
Lastly, the 149 plan from Reliance Jio still has a better offering. Users get 28 days validity and unlimited calling without any FUP. The plan also includes 1.5GB daily 4G data, 100 free SMS daily, and complimentary subscription to Jio apps.
