Dell’s gaming PCs range Alienware has launched an updated version of models of the X51 just about a week before the forthcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) which slated to happen between June 11 to 13. According to a report by ign, Alienware has introduced the new model in the same design as seen in the predecessor but has upgraded the configurations to the Intel’s 4th generation Haswell chipset, along with an Nvidia’s GTX 670 graphic card. The company had upgraded the mid-range to enthusiast configurations of its X51 with Intel’s 4th-generation which is making waves due to its processing power and graphics quality. Considering the big deal with Haswell is battery management and performance of integrated graphics, we don’t she this as a major upgrade because anyways the X51 is using a dedicated GPU. Apart from this, Alienware will now be offering dual HDD or SSD storage options which will allow consumers to utilize plenty of space to store their games.
The starting price for the configurations will be close to Rs 40,000 or $699, though these will be minus the Intel Haswell silicon. SKUs with Haswell will be available for over Rs 80,000 or $1,449, though this will all change when these products head to India as we are pretty sure they will be priced higher.
