Google’s Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL launch event is tomorrow and we have got a fresh leak of the possible announcement just ahead of the event. As per Mysmartprice, Google will unveil a big-screen tablet two-in-one called Google Pixel Slate along with smartphones and other products at the event scheduled to happen on October 9 in New York.
The alleged press render images of Google Pixel Slate shows a detachable keyboard accessory and an active stylus suggesting that the device could meant for productivity users. It is said to run Chrome OS with upgraded software and UI design. If these claims come true tomorrow then the Pixel Slate will be Google’s first tablet to run Chrome OS.
Reportedly, the Google Pixel Slate has been codenamed ‘Nocturne’ internally. It will have similar detachable keyboard cover with a touchpad that we have seen with Microsoft’s Surface Pro lineup. This will be connected by four pogo pins.
It is also reported to support a capacitive stylus, similar to last year’s Pixelbook laptop. The device is expected to feature front-facing stereo speakers and side-mounted fingerprint reader on the power button at the top. It will be offered in dark blue color option.
As for the specifications of Google Pixel Slate, there are none available at this point. Apart from Google’s Chrome OS, it is said to include USB Type-C port, a possible aspect ratio of 3:2 for the display and latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 for the tablet.
