Recently, the front display panel images of the Nokia X7 and the Nokia 9 were leaked online. These images gave an idea about how both these Nokia smartphones will not pack in-trend ‘notch’ displays.

Today, a Chinese website (via GSMArena) has posted the front panel images of the Nokia X7 again along with some more details. HMD Global usually keeps X branding for China specific variants, which has been the case with Nokia X5 and Nokia X6. Hence based on that, the Nokia X7 is likely to debut as Nokia 7.1 Plus in the global market.

According to the report, the Nokia 7.1 Plus will have a 5.9-inch 18:9 display, which is slightly smaller than the current 6-inch screen of Nokia 7 Plus. The display is said to be of full-HD+ 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution with forehead and a chin similar to Nokia 7 Plus. It is also expected to come with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 710 along with 18W fast charging support.

Previously, there were rumors of HMD Global planning to launch the Nokia X7 (Nokia 7.1 Plus) alongside Nokia 9, but it now seems that Nokia 7.1 Plus might alone make it to the market this year as Nokia 9 has been reportedly delayed until MWC 2019.

Today a report suggested that HMD has delayed the flagship smartphone until next year’s Mobile World Congress as the product is not quite ready for the announcement. The purported Nokia 9 with five camera setup has been leaked multiple times on the internet, and it was widely expected to launch some time later this year.
