Last week we saw the Nokia EOS for the first time and also saw the shutter of the PureView camera in action in a video even before the phone has even officially launched. Now, the folks at PocketNow have posted photos believed to be of the aluminum casing on the Nokia EOS. Also Read - Nokia Lumia 1020 specs revealed a day before launch
Unlike the previously leaked photos that show the EOS with a polycarbonate body, these new photos show an aluminum back cover for the phone with a large cutout for the PureView camera. It is difficult to comment on the authenticity of the photos as they could either be a discarded prototype or might even point to a different variant of the EOS that could be unveiled at the July 11 event. From what we know of the Nokia EOS so far, the device is said to feature a 4.5-inch AMOLED WXGA display in a polycarbonate body and of course the 41-megapixel PureView camera. It is also said that users would only be able to shoot at a maximum of 34-megapixel and will be able to record full HD videos with three varied frame rates along with three separate modes for shooting at 720p.
Nokia has slowly started sending out invites for the launch of a new smartphone on July 11 in New York City and has hinted a camera-specific device with its tagline in the invite saying “Zoom. Reinvented.” This would be clearest indication that Nokia is planning to unveil the Lumia EOS at the event.
