Lately, Xiaomi s upcoming Redmi Note has been in news a lot, hinting at its imminent launch. Now, another leak about the alleged smartphone has surfaced, making the launch news more plausible. According to GizChina, a smartphone with an 18:9 full-screen display, and a dual-camera setup has leaked, and it is believed to be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. The leak reveals a pair of images of the purported smartphone (which interestingly has a watermark of being shot on the Mi 6) that reveals the front and the back of the device. Up front, we can see a large display with a near bezel-less design. We see an earpiece placed at the top, along with a proximity sensor, and a front camera. At the back, a vertically placed dual-camera setup can be seen. The design of the rear camera makes the two look more individual, than an assembly, but that s just design. The dual-camera is accompanied by an LED flash just beneath it, and a fingerprint sensor just below that. Similar to its purported predecessors, an antenna band runs along the top and bottom end. Beside today s leak, not long ago, another leak had surfaced, which also suggested a dual-camera setup on the phone. According to that leak, the Redmi Note 5 will feature a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display. Under the hood is believed to be a MediaTek Helio P25 octa-processor. In India, Xiaomi will possibly launch the Redmi Note 5 powered by a Snapdragon chipset as seen in the past. In terms of memory, the smartphone will reportedly come in two variants 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage.
Further, there has been a lot rumored about the dual-camera of the device as well. One of which speculated the Redmi Note 5 to sport a pair of 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors at the rear. Up front, the Redmi Note 5 is believed to come with a 12-megapixel sensor. Just for perspective, the recent Xiaomi Mi A1 has a pair of two 12-megapixel rear cameras.
It has also been leaked that the anticipated Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be fueled by a 4,000mAh battery, and will run on Android 7.1 Nougat with MIUI 9 layered on top. Another upgrade expected is a USB Type-C port for connectivity.

There have also been some leaks about the expected price of the Redmi Note successor. A Weibo leak suggested that the base variant of the smartphone will be priced at RMB 999 (Rs 9,800 approximately).
