Lenovo has been known for its ThinkPad range of laptops and more recently its carbon fiber made ThinkPad range has gained quite a lot of traction. But carbon fiber is not a universally acceptable material, and some desire the cold feel of metal, just like Apple’s MacBooks. Looks like Lenovo has been listening to its consumers as two new laptops— the ThinkPad S3 and the ThinkPad S5 were leaked on the Chinese social network Sina Weibo. This was first spotted by Engadget. Going by the images we can gather, Lenovo has been influenced by the likes of Samsung, and Asus, as the two laptops seem to borrow elements of a floating design language that the two companies have been pushing with their laptops. Reportedly, the S3 is the 13-inch model and the S5 is the 15-inch model. The S5 is also said to have stereo JBL speakers.
Funny enough, another Chinese site Yesky reported auctioning limited editions of both the laptops and says that the both could be launched by the end of the month. With Computex around the corner, we won’t be surprised if these are launched at the annual technology fair.
