Amazon India has commenced its Freedom Sale, a four day sale ahead of India’s 72nd Independence Day being celebrated on August 15. The four day sale is being held from August 9 to August 12, and the e-commerce giant is offering deals across different categories including smartphones, Amazon devices, electronics, fashion and others.
During Amazon Freedom Sale, customers will get 10 percent instant discount when they use SBI debit or credit card. The State Bank of India is offering maximum discount of Rs 1,500 per card on minimum transaction of Rs 3,000. The instant discount offer is also applicable on EMI transactions with SBI credit cards. Apart from discount, Amazon India is also offering no cost EMI and exchange offers on purchase of devices during the sale. Here is a look at top offer across smartphones and other electronics, on day two of the sale.
OnePlus 6 with exchange offer of Rs 9,600
OnePlus 6, the new flagship smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker is available at extra Rs 2,000 off on exchange. On exchanging OnePlus 5T for OnePlus 6, customers can available a total exchange offer of Rs 9,600 during the Amazon Freedom Sale. OnePlus 6 buyers will also get Rs 2,000 cashback from Idea Cellular, and free 12 month accidental damage insurance.
OnePlus had announced that customers will be eligible for six month no-cost EMI on purchase of OnePlus 6 during the sale. OnePlus 6 features a 6.28-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB or 256GB storage. It also offers dual rear camera and a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. The smartphone starts at Rs 34,999, and will be available in midnight black, mirror black, silk white and red color during the sale.
Xiaomi Redmi Y2 flash sale at 2PM
Xiaomi Redmi Y2, the new selfie-centric smartphone from the Chinese company, will be available via flash sale at 2:00PM. The Redmi Y2 is the successor to Redmi Y1, and it brings taller display, Snapdragon 625 chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It features 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel dual rear camera, and 16-megapixel selfie camera. The Redmi Y2 starts at Rs 9,999, and will be available on Amazon India.
Realme 1: Exchange offer of Rs 7,600
Realme, a smartphone sub-brand of Oppo, announced its first smartphone, the Realme 1 in May. The smartphone is available with extra exchange benefit of Rs 1,000 during Amazon Freedom Sale. The Realme 1 features a premium design with diamond black finish and it starts at Rs 10,990.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8: Extra up to Rs 10,000 off on exchange
The Galaxy Note 9 will be launched in New York later today, and Samsung is not wasting any time to discount the price of its older sibling. The Galaxy Note 8 is now available on Amazon India with up to Rs 10,000 extra off on exchange. Along with extra exchange benefit, HDFC Bank credit card holders can avail cashback of Rs 4,000 on Galaxy Note 8.
Huawei P20 Lite at Rs 16,999
Huawei P20 Lite, the mid-range device from the Chinese smartphone maker, is now available at Rs 16,999. The smartphone was launched at Rs 22,999, and is getting a flat discount of Rs 6,000 on Amazon India. In addition, the P20 Lite also comes with no cost EMI option starting at Rs 1,889 per month.
In terms of specifications, the P20 Lite features a 5.84-inch display with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels, and is powered by Kirin 659 chipset. The smartphone comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear cameras and a 24-megapixel selfie camera. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.

Discounts on Amazon Devices
Amazon is also offering discount on Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Spot, Fire TV Stick and Kindle devices during the sale. In addition to exchange, Amazon is also offering additional prime-exclusive discounts up to 23 percent on select devices. During Freedom Sale, Amazon Kindle Unlimited subscription is available at Rs 1,499.
Mi Powerbanks starting at Rs 799
Xiaomi’s Mi Powerbanks received a price cut recently, and are available at Rs 799 on Amazon India. The Mi Powerbank is also available with extra 10 percent back when customers make prepaid orders. The e-commerce platform notes that the cashback will be credited to Amazon Pay balance.
