It looks like the much-anticipated wearable device, the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 may launch as an Amazon-exclusive at its launch in the Indian market. The reason we know this is because a landing page for the Mi Band 3 has appeared on the Amazon India website. One thing to note here is that Amazon does not mention that the device to launch as the “Mi Band 3” on the landing page. However, the teaser images do indicate striking similarities between the design of the Band 3 and the hints on the landing page.
According to the landing page, the wearable is “coming soon” as part of the “Smarter Living” lineup of devices expected to launch in the market. The teaser comes with a caption stating “Smarter lifestyle for a fitter you” along with hints at tracking “more in real time”, “bigger display”, and “do more on a single charge”. There are no additional details on the landing page including the pricing, features, or availability but it is likely that the wearable is between the Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,000 market.

In addition to Amazon India, it is likely that the wearable will also be available on Mi.com and Mi Home stores.
Xiaomi Mi Band 3 features
The Mi Band 3 comes with a 0.78-inch OLED display with rounded edges and a depressed button in the bottom part of the display. It with a heart-rate sensor, fitness and activity tracking that include step counting, sleep monitoring and more. It is also water resistant up to 50m. We are not sure if the company will launch the NFC-packing variant of the Mi Band 3 in the Indian market but that is sure to push the price of the wearable up.
Xiaomi has claimed that the Band 3 will be better connected with the paired smartphone, and will feature improved notification prompts. These claims mean that users will be able to see who is calling and directly mute incoming calls on the Mi Band 3 itself without reaching out for their smartphone. Xiaomi claims that the battery life of the Mi Band 3 is 20 days but we will need to check the claims from the company.
