The Kindle Voyage brings in a lot of improvements and new features when compared to the Papwerwhite. The resolution of the display has been bumped up to 300dpi, which makes the text look crisper than before. Amazon says it has micro-etched the glass to be less reflective and it gives the feeling of touching paper. While the display is front-lit, there is now an ambient light sensor, which gradually adjusts the brightness of the display.
In addition to the improved display, Amazon has introduced a new feature called PagePress. The essence of this feature is to let one use the Kindle without the need to lift their fingers. You can either touch either sides of the display or long press the lines at the side to turn the page. Pressing the dots will take you a page back.
With the launch of the Kindle Voyage, Amazon now has five variants of the e-reader available in India. It starts from Rs 5,999 for the basic All New Kindle, Rs 10,999 for the Kindle Paperwhite, Rs 13,999 for Kindle Paperwhite 3G, Rs 16,499 for Kindle Voyage and Rs 20,499 for the Kindle Voyage 3G.
