Android 4.4 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One Google Play editions released

Google has started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Google Play edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One smartphones. First spotted by AndroidPolice, Google has posted the news on its official account on Google+. As always, Google is rolling out the update in phases, so it might take a while for everyone to get it. Talking about the features, the update will bring an improved Google Now interface, revamped Hangout messaging interface, better multitasking and device data backup among others.

Google had first launched the Android 4.4 KitKat with the Nexus 5 and later started rolling it out on other Nexus models as well. The update will soon be available for the recently launched Moto G smartphone. Google has already released the update for the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (2013 edition and 2014 edition) and Nexus 10.
