The second generation Moto X handset has started to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in India. Motorola also confirms that other Motorola handsets will also start getting the Android L update soon. The update is rolling out over-the-air and brings along a new user interface, new battery settings panel, more natural touch screen interactions and Material Design which brings new colors, widgets and typography. It brings notifications to the lock screen and even lets you dismiss them without unlocking the device. The upgrade also has Android L s new Downtime and Interruption settings that allow you to decide which people and what notifications get through at times that you choose. In case you haven t yet received a notification of the update, you can check it yourself. Go to the Settings app, scroll to the bottom, and tap on about phone . Then click on the system updates option, and tap on check for update . Motorola has said that the roll out is happening throughout the week, so if you do not get the System update immediately, keep calm and don t fret. It may take a while before it reaches your handset. We also recommend you to download the OTA via a strong Wi-Fi connection and free up some space for smooth transition.
