As expected, Google previewed Android L for the developers at the recently concluded I/O. While it revealed quite a few new features like Material Design, actionable notifications and personal unlocking among others. There are however many other features that Google didn’t announce and Redditor axehomeless has collated them and presented in a handy list.
Axehomeless copied the features from Google’s presentation slide at I/O, which listed all the features in the shape of letter ‘L’. Some of these features include Burst-mode camera APIs, USB Audio, improved battery stats, predicted time remaining, Bluetooth 4.1, and new quick settings, among others.
The list also includes some of the features we have already discussed about that includes Material Design, which is Google’s new design language for all Android apps and services across platforms, a new battery stats app called Battery Historian, and personal unlocking, wherein the phone is contextually aware of your surroundings and decides whether to ask you for PIN or pass code to unlock the device.
