Google has partnered three domestic smartphone vendors including Micromax, Spice and Karbonn to launch Android One devices. in India The publication however doesn t reveal which smartphone will be priced around Rs 6,399. The pricing is however consistent with earlier reports that claimed the Android One smartphones will be priced between Rs 6,000 and Rs 7,000 in India. When you convert the leaked price to USD, it comes up to around $105. This comes as a surprise considering Google s vision for Android One was to bring the best Android experience at sub-$100 price range. There is still a chance that Google will change things around when it officially launches Android One today. The smartphones will feature a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 1.3GHz Mediatek quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage with a microSD card slot, dual-SIM with both SIM card slots supporting 3G networks, 5-megapixel/2-megapixel cameras, 1,700mAh battery, and Android KitKat. Micromax s Android One smartphone will retail on Amazon India, Spice s on Flipkart and Karbonn s on Snapdeal. All the three smartphones will go on sale at 03:30PM today.
