Google launched the fourth Developer Preview of its upcoming mobile operating system, Android P.
Instagram launched two new features including a “Do Not Disturb” feature and an “All Caught up” feature while reports revealed the expected price of the 2018 iPhone that will pack a 6.1-inch display. Android P Developer Preview 4 launched
Google released Android P Developer Preview 4 for both the first as well as second generation Pixel smartphones. Google has issued the update both as a system image as well as an OTA file for developers and users interested in installing the latest update. This version of the Android P Developer Preview will serve as the penultimate beta release before the final roll out in the third quarter of this year.
Talking about the updates, this version has tweaked the design of gesture navigation button along with a new back button with Google replacing the triangle with what looks like a left arrow. The home/recents button has also received a slight change and it now looks a bit darker.
Asus Zenfone 5Z pricing leaked
Prices of the upcoming flagship from Asus, the Asus Zengone 5Z have leaked out on the internet. As previously reported, the Asus Zenfone 5Z is set to go on sale starting at Rs 29,999 for the 6GB RAM / 64GB storage variant.
Information about color variants and pricing of higher variants also leaked out with the base variant will be available in meteor silver and midnight blue color variants, while the variant with 8GB RAM with 128GB storage will be priced at Rs 32,999 and the 8GB RAM along with 256GB storage variant will be priced at Rs 36,999.
Facebook unblocks a number of blocked users
Facebook revealed that “a temporary bug” unblocked a number of users that its users had blocked on Facebook as well as Facebook Messenger. The company added that it will issue the notification to all approximately 8,00,000 users that were affected by this bug.
The company pointed out that f the all the people affected, about 83 percent of the users only had one person unblocked from their list. This bug was active from May 29 till June 5.
iPhone with 6.1-inch display likely to cost around $600
According to a report by the noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the 6.1-inch LCD model will sport an all-screen design similar to that of iPhone X and it will be priced between $600-$700 making it the successor to the iPhone 8 along with the premium design of the top end device that Apple launched last year.
Instagram updates
Instagram has launched two new updates to the platform that are aimed at improving how user-friendly the platform is for its users. The company is rolling out “You’re all caught up” on its iOS and Android apps to let users know that they have seen all the posts posted in last 48 hours.
The company is also testing a “Do Not Disturb” feature which will allow users to turn off notifications from the app for a limited period of time.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 box revealed
Last but not the least, Xiaomi’s founder and CEO Lei Jun posted an image of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Max 3’s retail box with a message on Weibo to hint at the immediate arrival of the Mi Max 3. The same image was later posted on Twitter by Donovan Sung, a spokesperson for the company.
The retail box looks similar to what we have already seen with the packing of the current generation Xiaomi smartphones. On the front, it prints the big Max 3 moniker towards the left bottom corner with MI branding up top in the right corner.
