It’s not unusual for parents to get frustrated by their kids’ histrionics, and dish out a punishment or two. But a woman in the US took the punishment to an all-new level and the victim was a poor old iPhone. Angry at her kids spending so much time on their phone and social media, this woman vent out her frustrations by shooting up an iPhone with a shotgun, and then using a sledgehammer to finish the job. The video posted by the Daily Mail, shows the woman shooting an iPhone propped up on a tree stump. All the while she explains her actions saying, “I hereby denounce the effects that social media have on my children, their disobedience and their disrespect.” Responding to her kids’ grumblings (and curses), she declares, “I refuse to be cursed. I refuse to be disobeyed. I take back my role as your parent,” before shooting the iPhone once again. Also Read - Apple CEO Tim Cook claims iOS is more secure than Android
Unfortunately the iPhone doesn’t stand a chance against the raging mom and her shotgun is blown away to smithereens. If that wasn’t enough, the woman asks that the pieces of the iPhone still left be kept on the tree stump again. She again declares, “My children’s lives are more important to me than any electronic on this earth,” before bringing down a sledgehammer on what’s left of the iPhone.

So did it work on the kids? Judging by their reactions, not so much. Behind the camera you can hear one kid saying, “Good for you, we don’t give two f***s.” It may just be in the heat of the moment, and we are sure they give at least one — it’s after all their iPhone.
It’s difficult to say just how real this video is, and the raging woman isn’t the best of actresses for sure. Some of her lines do seem rehearsed, and it could all be a giant setup by the family to get its five seconds of fame online. The video is embedded below, have a look and let us know what you think.
