An Apple app store bug seems to have caused iOS apps to disappear. Users trying to download apps off the App Store or update their existing apps are being shown an error message — “The item you tried to buy is no longer available.” Update: Apple has updated its system status page, which now reads, “We are investigating an issue with this service affecting some users.”
A quick search on Twitter shows a lot of people complaining about not being able to download or update their existing apps. The problem is being faced on both the mobile and desktop versions of the App Store. Check out what people are saying on Twitter.
Weird @AppStore bug is telling me (& lots of others, per Twitter search) “the item you tried to buy is no longer available” for common apps.
