As India celebrated Holi with family and friends, Apple CEO Tim Cook took to Twitter to show what people clicked with their iPhones. In a tweet posted late on Friday, Cook showed three photos from different parts of the nation that clearly depict the festival of colors.

Interestingly, the tweet suggests all the three pictures were clicked with iPhone X, the most advanced iPhone yet from the company. The tweet is also accompanied by the hashtag #ShotoniPhone. One of the pictures posted by Cook is a portrait that seems to be clicked using the Portrait Lighting mode effect on the iPhone X. The two other pictures show the ability of the iPhone camera to capture true colors and shallow depth of field possible with f/1.8 lens.

The iPhone X is the most advanced iPhone yet from the Cupertino-based company, and it is also the best iPhone one can get right now. Last week, Consumer Reports crowned Apple iPhone X as the best smartphone camera, but it lags behind Samsung Galaxy S9+ and Google Pixel 2 in test carried out by DxOMark Labs.

In terms of camera features, the iPhone X sports dual 12-megapixel optically stabilized image sensors at the back. The primary 12-megapixel sensor has f/1.8 aperture while the secondary sensor has a narrower f/2.4 lens. The secondary camera also acts as telephoto lens, which offers 2X optical zoom. The camera on the iPhone X differs from iPhone 8 Plus with the 7-megapixel iSight camera also getting portrait lighting mode effect.

Apart from the camera, the iPhone X is a radical redesign with edge-to-edge OLED display, and very fast A11 Bionic chipset. The smartphone runs iOS 11, and it packs a L-shaped battery that last longer than standard iPhones. It also comes with a notch that houses TrueDepth camera for facial recognition. The Apple iPhone X supports wireless charging and comes with IP67 water and dust resistant making it ideal to face the water used during Holi celebration. There is no doubt that iPhone X is the best iPhone yet, but it comes at a steep cost that cannot be justified by all users.
