Apple’s all new iPhone 2018 models are here. The company at its Gather Round event on Wednesday launched three new iPhones – the Apple iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Max and the iPhone XR alongside all new Apple Watch Series 4.
Like every year, we expected Apple to drop prices for the older generation iPhone models, however, that didn’t happen. Instead the Cupertino based company has discontinued three older iPhones and these have been taken down from Apple’s website.
Apple has removed the iPhone X, iPhone 6s and iPhone SE, so you cannot officially buy it from the company. For consumers in India, there is no clarity at this point. The Apple India website has removed all three smartphones from its website, but it is possible that these three iPhones may still be available from other e-commerce platforms or offline retail stores. Also, it is more likely that Apple might not restock the iPhone X, iPhone 6s and iPhone SE in the Indian market again.
With the iPhone SE and iPhone 6s being discontinued by Apple, it marks end of an era for the iPhones with headphone jacks. The iPhone 7 onwards mobile devices do not have headphone jacks.

Coming to the iPhone X, the device now actually became redundant after the new notch display upgrades in the form of new iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max. These come with ungraded edge-to-edge displays, a notch on top, and more. The new iPhones are made from stainless steel frame and feature glass back, which also enables wireless charging. Apple has revealed that the new iPhone XS models are coming to India later this month, and pricing has also been revealed. The iPhone XR, however, will come next month.
