At the WWDC 2017 conference, Apple introduced the latest iteration of its iOS. The latest iOS 11 comes with a range of new features including redesigned app store and customizable control center. Though we are still discovering small and big features of iOS 11, a tiny new update to the screen capture feature has caused a lot of worries among avid Snapchat users. With iOS 11, users can take screenshots of Snapchat photos without the contact ever knowing about as it bypasses the app’s default screenshot alert. The contact will not be notified about it because, for the Snapchat app, the other person did not capture anything while the snap was being read by them. These screen captures can later be accessed from the Photos app, saved in video formats. Now, we are not saying that Apple has made changes to iOS 11 deliberately to bypass ‘screenshot alert’ feature on Snapchat. With the new upgrades and algorithm in place, few bugs are always expected and this one might not go well with Snapchat users.
Good thing, iOS 11 is just in the developer phase and it has not been released public which would have made this bypass accessible to more number of people. Snapchat might work on this and release a fix in updates to come before iOS 11 is released to the general public.
