Apple is widely believed to be unveiling the next-generation iPad Air 2 at its October 16 event. The report falls in line with all the previous leaks, claiming that the tablet will have a slightly thinner body (0.5mm thinner), an anti-reflective screen, redesigned speaker grille, and recessed volume buttons. As far as specifications are concerned, the publication claims that the tablet will boast a 9.7-inch display, A8 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32/64/128GB versions, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and FaceTime HD front-facing camera. In line with previous rumors, the publication also claims that the tablet will have a Touch ID scanner, and Apple Pay support. While the publication has got hold of photos of the iPad Air 2, but unfortunately it could not publish any of them.
Additionally, there have also been reports of Samsung making the displays for the iPad, as well as a gold variant to match the color parity of Apple’s iPhones. The report further claims that Apple is also likely to unveil the next-generation Retina iPad mini at the same event.
