Apple for the first time last year offered a bigger sized variant of the iPhone 6, which has been a runaway success. The news is that the Cupertino-based company is now prepping a 12-inch version of iPad called the iPad Pro. The forthcoming tablet will be the largest tablet Apple has ever produced. French website NoWhereElse has now posted a purported case for the iPad Pro.The leaked photo of the case has differently placed cutouts, which clearly indicate that this case is not for any of the current iPad variants. The case has four cutouts placed symmetrical at the corners and we feel that this might act as openings for the speaker grilles. The previous leaks did hint at a better speaker system resulting in better audio and the cutouts on the case echoes the same.
The other set of cutouts match the design of the current iPad Air 2 and includes the top standby button, rear camera placement and the volume rockers. The case also has a special cutout in the middle, whose purpose is unclear as of now.
To recap on the rumors, the iPad Pro could come in either 12.2-inch screen size or with a screen measuring 12.9-inches. The tablet is believed to carry an ultra-thin form factor with a width between 6.9mm to 7.5mm, which is in line with earlier reports. It will house an A8X processor paired with 2GB of RAM, an anti-reflective screen coating, and come in different color options, much like iPhones.
While details are scarce at the moment, a report from last year claimed that the iPad Pro will come with a “hybrid” version of iOS which will have support for several OS X’s features including multitasking and more. A recent leak also suggests that the iPad could also come with stylus support.
