In line with what was reported last week, Apple has finally launched its largest-ever iPad in India. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro has gone on sale in India with prices starting from Rs 67,900. The iPad’s accessories like the Apple Pencil, Smart Keyboard and the iPad Silicone Case too have gone on sale, with prices starting from Rs 6,100.

Apple iPad Pro prices: The iPad Pro 32GB (Wi-Fi only) variant is priced at Rs 67,900, while the 128GB (Wi-Fi only) variant is priced at Rs 79,900. The 128GB (LTE variant), on the other hand, is priced at Rs 91,900. Unsurprisingly, this makes it Apple’s most expensive iPad available at the moment.

Accessories like the iPad Pro Silicone case is priced at Rs 6,100, the Apple Pencil at Rs 8,600, and the iPad Pro Smart Keyboard is priced at Rs 14,900. The Apple Pencil, as the name suggests, is a stylus that takes full advantage of the 3D Touch feature. It has sensors integrated on its tip that can distinguish between pressure, tilt and stroke. Apple also claims that it has to precision to touch a single pixel on the high resolution display. Apple claims that with 15 seconds of charging, you can use the Pencil for 30 minutes and on a full charge, it can be used for 12 hours.

The Smart Keyboard docks with the iPad Pro’s new ‘Smart Connector’ the provides power and data to the keyboard. It has fabric woven keys, which is quite similar to what we have seen in the Microsoft Surface keyboard.

As far as the design is concerned, the iPad Pro retains the form factor of the iPad Air 2, albeit with a bigger screen. Despite the size, Apple has managed to keep the thickness down to only 6.9mm, and it weighs 712 grams. It also features a TouchID fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button on the front, and is also equipped with four speakers that Apple says offers an immersive listening experience.

Apple iPad Pro specifications and features: The new iPad flaunts a 12.9-inch (2048×2732 pixels) LED-backlit IPS LCD display with 264ppi and fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating. Under the hood is Apple’s A9X dual-core 64-bit processor paired with M9 motion coprocessor and 4GB of RAM.

On the photography front, the tablet features an 8-megapixel f/2.4 iSight camera at the back with 1080p video recording capabilities. Up front, there is a 1.2-megapixel f/2.2 FaceTime HD camera with 720p video recording capabilities.

The iPad Pro also features a Li-Po battery, which Apple says is good enough for up to 10 hours of usage. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Wi‑Fi 802.11a/​b/​g/​n/​ac, and Bluetooth 4.2. On the software front, it ships with iOS 9 out-of-the-box, and iOS 9.2 update is also available for download
