We are just hours away from the official launch of the iPhone 6 and as expected the influx of rumors and leaks have risen multifold. The latest is the iPhone 6 5.5-inch variant’s battery, which is touted to be 2,915mAh, according to a video shared by Nowhereelse.fr. First spotted by MacRumors, the battery shown is also carrying an Apple part number of 616-0675, and running at 4.35 volts. The 2,915mAh battery is a huge upgrade from the 1,560mAh battery on the iPhone 5S. The report also claims the 4.7-inch variant to sport a 1,810mAh battery, which is in line with earlier reports. Reacting to this upgrade, Daniel Sparks wrote on the financial website Motley Fool, “As both an Apple customer and an investor, I hope the company can deliver this rumoured 2,915mAh battery, as well a cutting-edge innovation in battery conservation, which could finally serve up some true all-day battery life. But he warned that an 1,810mAh battery for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 would come as a “major disappointment” and would leave Apple lagging behind its rivals and iPhone users scanning the room for a power cable.”
The Apple keynote is to start at 10.30PM IST tonight where the company is expected to unveil the iWatch and the iPad Air 2 along with the two iPhone 6 models. The event will be live streamed on Apple s website. Alternatively, you can also follow our iPhone 6 live blog.
