With just a few hours left for Apple’s iPhone 6 event, China’s biggest carriers may have jumped the gun on spilling the specifications, design, color availability, and price of the next iPhone, reports ZDNet. The carriers have started taking the preorders and refer to the 4.7-inch variant as “iPhone Air” and the 5.5-inch variant as the “iPhone Pro.”
The page has also spilled the specifications of Apple’s next iPhones. The iPhone 6 will carry a 3-megapixel front camera (up from 1.2-megapixel on the iPhone 5S), improved Touch ID, quad-core A8 chip (up from Dual-core 1.3GHz Apple A7 chip in iPhone 5S) with a bigger 2,100mAh battery (up from 1,560mAh in iPhone 5S).
China Unicorn, the second largest telecom carrier recently put the new iPhones 6 for pre-order with pricing information. According to the carrier, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will cost 5,288 yuan ($861 approximately) for the entry-level 16GB version while the 5.5-inch variant will cost 6,288 yuan ($1,024 approximately) in China.
