We have seen numerous leaks of the Apple iPhone 6 in the past from various sources. With less than a week left for the launch, a massive disclosure of what the device is set to look and contain has surfaced online. This latest leak is a full hands-on video of a fully assembled iPhone 6 while being compared to the old iPhone 5S. The video by Russia-based YouTube user Rozetked showcases a fully assembled iPhone 6 alongside its predecessor and goes onto do a 3.5 minutes comparison between the two. Arguably the best leaked video so far, it shows the phone from all angles and even does a teardown of the device for all its viewers to see.
The video begins with the announcement, “Ladies and Gentlemen – this is the real iPhone 6 with all the details.” The device in the video looks bigger, thinner and curvier. Looking at the device shown in the video, the on/off buttons are shifted to the side instead of the traditional top-right end. The display of the phone has been increased to a 4.7-inch instead of the 4-inch that is seen on all the previous iPhone devices. With a steel grey back cover, the device is made from an alloy of metals to make it scratch-resistant and corrosion-free.
The video does a teardown of the iPhone 6 to convince its viewers that it is not fake. Displaying the stripped-down variant, the video further states that the iPhone 6 is powered by Apple’s A8 chip and also has an integrated NFC chip on the system board.
The front camera has gone back to the side of the speaker, instead of on top of it, as it was in the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. The iPhone 6 sports the round True Tone flash but the camera seems to stick out of the device.
Apple is holding an invite-only keynote on September 9 in Cupertino. We expect the tech giant to unveil the iWatch along with the two variants of iPhone 6.
