The Apple iPhone 6 was reported to be launching sometime in September, and now the exact date has reportedly been revealed. Re/code’s John Paczkowski says that Apple is set to host a “big media event” on Tuesday, September 9, where the company is expected to take the wraps off the next-generation iPhone.
In addition to confirming the date, Paczkowski also reiterates rumors that the iPhone 6 will “feature larger displays of 4.7 and 5.5 inches and run speedy new A8 processors.” While there is no confirmation from the company, Paczkowski is known to accurately reveal such details. What is still a mystery however is if Apple will unveil both the variants or only the 4.7-inch variant.
The new iPhone 6 will feature some design changes including curved edges, a power button on the side rather on the right top-corner and elongated volume rocker instead of the circular volume buttons. The bigger is expected to get Sapphire display, as well as other unique features like optical image stabilization and higher storage capacities.
