Apple iPhone 6 pre-orders a bigger fail than its live stream

Apple Store has been down for about five hours now. We expected it to go live at 12.30PM today as pre-orders for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in some countries (not India) were supposed to begin. However, it turns out the pre-order for some markets is turning out to be a bigger fail than Apple’s glitchy livestream of its September 9 announcement event. As of 2PM IST, the US and Canada website were still down. Many in the US have managed to book the device via the app but the store’s desktop version is still not running. The UK, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore sites of Apple Store have gone live and are taking pre-orders successfully.

Inevitably, people have taken to Twitter to vent their frustration about being sleep deprived (it’s 1.30AM in West Coast and 4:30AM on the East Coast of the US) and are mocking Apple and its second technical glitch in two weeks. Here are some of the best reactions:
