Not everything was rosy however, as the day was also riddled with a lot of confusion. Quite a few retail stores reportedly refused to take preorders as they didn t know when they would get stocks of the new iPhones. I have advised customers to come back on October 15 evening or 16, by when I would have more clarity on what stocks I will get, one of the store owners told ET. If I take a specific order and the money for it today, and don’t get it from Apple, I will face an awkward situation. Others like the MobileStore and Croma took preorders, but told the buyers to expect the phones only after October 18.
