Now, we have come across a photo of what is claimed to be the retail box for the forthcoming iPhone 6, courtesy of GSMArena. The photo shows the side and the housing of the iPhone 6 retail box, and it looks quite believable up till this point. The phone is however kept face down, which is somewhat of a surprise. The device looks similar to the dummy models we have seen so far, but unlike the earlier photos this one has proper FCC labels on the back. The logo isn t glowing either, which could mean two things the rumors about the glowing logo didn t pan out, or simply that the device is switched off. While there is no word on the size of the device, it could very well be the 4.7-inch variant that is expected to launch on September 19.
It is however difficult to believe that it is the real deal. For one, the device in the photo is quite ugly, which is not something you would associate with Apple. It also can t be a coincidence that the device in the photo looks like the dummy models we have come across before.
This is likely to be a fake after all and we would advice you take it with the proverbial pinch of salt.
