While rumors surrounding the upcoming iPhones continues to pour in, a Chinese website claims to know the release date of the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. Micgadget.com reports that the two Apple smartphones will be launched on September 18, while Apple’s annual keynote to unveil the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be held on September 11. The report states that this new intel was provided from inside Foxconn, a company which manufactures Apple’s smartphones. It reiterates that Foxconn has begun mass producing the iPhones, while also confirming that the design structure is similar to the current flagships, causing no problems for accessory makers. It reiterates the introduction of Force Touch on iPhones, a feature previously seen on Apple Watch and the new 12-inch Macbook. From what we have come across so far, the new iPhones will have an upgraded A9X quad-core processor and 2GB RAM. Furthermore, it will come with faster LTE, better battery, 12-megapixel rear camera that supports 4k videos and a 5-megapixel FaceTime camera that supports 1080p recording.
There are also reports that Apple might finally scrap the 16GB variant altogether and the base variant would sport 32GB of internal storage, but few reports state (albeit disappointingly) that the 16GB variant may just be continued. It could also boast different metal casing to ensure that the new iPhones do not bend.
