The report by Trendforce research firm suggests that the next iPhone will be slimmer than its predecessor and will have a speedy RAM. Apple might also scrap the 16GB variant altogether and the base variant would have 32GB of internal storage. With the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple had scrapped the 32GB variant and kept the 16GB variant followed by 64GB and 128GB variants. Many users had complained that 16GB was not enough considering how heavy app file sizes have become and the fact that the iPhone does not have an expandable memory card slot. Another interesting revelation is that the RAM of the iPhone is said to bump up to 2GB. According to the firm, the iPhone 6s will have the same kind of speedy RAM memory first seen on the Galaxy S6 LPDDR4 memory that s twice as fast as LPDDR3.
The iPhone 6s is said to be slimmer than its predecessor. The report explains that Apple plans to reduce its thickness by trimming its LED package from 0.6mm to 0.4mm. In order to compensate, the company will embed more number of LEDs. The LED flash will sport the same dual-flash tech that is seen on the iPhone 6.
The report also reiterates the integration of Force Touch technology that was first seen on Apple Watch and the new Macbooks. This is in line with previous leaks that reported that the next iPhone will come with 2GB RAM, 12-megapixel camera and is also speculated to have a dual-lens camera with a bumped up 12-megapixel sensor. Additionally, it could boast a new design language with different metal casing to ensure that the new iPhones do not bend.
