Besides, most of the Apple resellers have been taking pre-orders for the smartphone. Therefore, if you have already booked and paid an advance for your new iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, regardless of any queues you would get it on the scheduled day. Customers who booked their smartphones much in advance with physical stores like Croma, Mapple or iZenica, or with online retailers like Flipkart, Snapdeal or Infibeam, were also promised delivery by the very day of the phone s launch in India, which is October 7. Additionally, this year, Apple partnered with Indian e-commerce platform Flipkart, for online retail of the iPhone 7 in India. Flipkart will source iPhones directly from Apple, unlike earlier when it used to source them from third-party retailers in a marketplace model. Other than Flipkart, Infibeam is another online partner. However, the scope of Apple s partnership with Flipkart and Infibeam differs in terms of the product catalog they will sell. According to what Apple is calling Authorised Resellers for Internet or catalogue sales in India, Flipkart will sell across all categories which include iPhones, iPads and Macs. Flipkart began taking the pre-orders for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus from September 30. However, the pre-orders is an option only for customers in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. For placing a pre-order with Flipkart, customers were asked to make a complete payment. Flipkart gave customers the choice to pre-order the storage variant and color of their wish. In fact, at the time of writing the article, Flipkart is still accepting pre-orders, with limited stock in store. Prices for the iPhone 7 start from Rs 60,000 for the 32GB variant and go up to Rs 80,000 for the 256GB variant. Prices for the iPhone 7 Plus, on the other hand, start from Rs 72,000 for the 32GB variant, and go up to Rs 92,000 for the 256GB variant. Apple will also be launching a bunch of accessories, with prices starting from Rs 900 and going up to Rs 15,400 for a pair of AirPods.
