The all new Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are official and pre-orders have already kicked off in most countries, with sale to start from September 16. While Apple will be bringing the new iPhones in India on October 7, premium retailers have now started taking pre-registrations. You can now pay as low as Rs 1,000 to pre-register the new iPhones. Just choose the storage and color variant that you re interested in, and you can get your early hands-on the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus when it launches on October 7, but there s a catch. These are not official Apple pre-registrations and are being done by the resellers themselves. There is no guarantee that you would get your desired iPhone 7 variant on day one as it entirely depends on the stocks Apple gives them, but it could improve your chances getting the version you desire. While pre-registrations have begun, it appears that the Jet Black variant, which is only available with 128GB and 256GB variants, is in a pretty good demand. Out of the five premium retailers that I contacted, none of them could guarantee me of Jet Black variant. Despite being a limited edition, premium retailers will be giving out the Jet Black variant on first come first serve basis. Also, when it comes to other color variants, such as gold, rose gold, black and silver, none of the retailers could assure me to get the new iPhones on October 7. First stock is expected to be in limited quantity, and the next stock may arrive after another 15 days, one of the retailers told me.
