Two days ago, when Apple refreshed its iPad lineup with the new 9.7-inch iPad, the company also launched a new limited-edition color variant for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Within minutes of launch the new red variant became the trending topic of social media. And why not, a classy crimson color smartphone with matte finish, who wouldn t want that! However, now that there are more pictures of the red iPhone 7 being shared, we realized the variant isn t as red as we thought it would be. My first thought when I saw the #RediPhone was “I want that.” Apple products transcend the need for advertising. https://t.co/Zqo2093tis Also Read - iPhone selling in LG stores? Apple is apparently in talks for a new dealAlso Read - Apple CEO Tim Cook claims iOS is more secure than Android

So, if you look at the pictures you would realize that while the back of these variants are all red like christmas, the front of the device is still white! That s right (Thank The Verge for pointing it out). Not entirely red, but part white and part red. Now, a white iPhone with a gold, silver or rose gold back looks fine, because those colors are subtle.
However, imagine a deep blood red back on your iPhone with a meh white face. Although, if you come to think about it, this is in keeping with the Product (RED) iPod Touch. But the thing is that series of iPod only comes in white, so it s understandable. Also, wouldn t you wish more from an iPhone than the iPod?

However, if the same would have been a crimson on black combination, we can already imagine it looking stunning. And to put things in perspective, Benjamin Geskin, who is famous for his product renders, has created a red and black version of the red iPhone 7, and isn t that a what you d really want!.

The new color variant of the iPhone was a result of Apple s collaboration with (RED), which is an institute fighting against AIDS worldwide. Even in the past, Apple has released products in collaboration with (RED), but till now the red color was limited to iPhone accessories. This is the first time that the iPhone itself will be available in red color. RELATED: Apple iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus red color variant launched
