Apple iPhone 8, not surprisingly, has been among the most leaked devices lately. Considering it is the 10th anniversary iPhone, expectations are understandably high. While earlier reports suggested that the iPhone 8 might be delayed owing to manufacturing issues, the latest leak suggests that the device components have finally entered production stage. This means the iPhone 8 will be right on time for the September launch. The leak comes from OnLeaks over Twitter. Without giving any details about the iPhone 8, the tweet simply mentions that the smartphone has entered the production stage. While the leak does not mention anything about the smaller iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, their production status too are currently expected to be on track. The component leaks are expected to come right from manufacturing factories answering a lot of doubts surrounding the iPhone 8. While leaks have not exactly been sparse, tipsters had to rely on individual component data to understand each specification separately. There have been many analysts who predicted that the iPhone 8 could be delayed as Apple has been known to be struggling with facial recognition technology to replace Touch ID. However, Tim Cook’s previous statement that Apple is expected to see a growth in sales in the fourth quarter of 2017 hinted that the iPhone 8 is not delayed. There have also been rumors that Apple plans to initially ship limited devices, and once things are in place, commence shipping and sales of the iPhones in full swing. There are a lot of features of the iPhone 8 already known but the biggest question on whether the phone will come with the in-display scanner or not is yet to be answered. With mass production kicking off, the question is expected to soon receive an answer. Another highlight of the iPhone 8 will be the camera, which will go beyond the standard dual-camera features. Apple plans to use the camera for facial recognition when making payments over Apple Pay, and also for unlocking the smartphone. Additionally, the rear camera will come with a new ‘SmartCam’ feature with scenes like Foliage, Sunset, Fireworks, Baby, Pet, and more. The smartphone is expected to be the most expensive iPhone to date, and also the most advanced in terms of features. Analysts have pegged the pricing to be over $1,000 (approximately Rs 63,700). Apple unveiled iOS 11 during WWDC 2017, and the event gave a glimpse at some of the tweaks that will accompany the newest range of iPhones. Apple is also expected to introduce wireless charging with the iPhone 8. The rumors are many and expected to intensify. With August well under way, the invites for the iPhone 8 launch are expected to start rolling out soon.
