After a wait of a good two weeks, the Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will finally go on sale in India today. Unlike the last two years, the sale in India will today kick off at 6:00PM. Officially launched on September 12, the smartphones went up for pre-orders on both online and offline channels on September 22. Everybody who has pre-booked the new iPhones will be able to get their hands on the devices today. In fact, Flipkart has just announced that people who have already pre-ordered their phones in Flipkart will start to receive their iPhone’s deliveries at 6:00PM today. This same day delivery is applicable in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi and Chennai. The deliveries for Pune and Ahmedabad will happen tomorrow. In case you haven t pre-ordered till now, you can still do it. Naturally though, your iPhone will not be delivered in the first wave as for the ones who pre-booked much earlier. On online channels, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be available via Amazon India, Flipkart, Infibeam, Tata Cliq and Jio.com. Offline, the phones can be purchased through Redington India, Rashi Peripherals, Reliance Digital retail stores, and Brightstar.

There are a bunch of offers these platforms are offering, which includes some considerable exchange offers on Flipkart of up to Rs 23,000. Amazon India also some additional offers, wherein, Reliance Jio guarantees 70 percent buyback if you upgrade to iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus, valid starting September 29 to December 31. Amazon is also offering additional Rs 10,000 off on exchange of iPhones to buy the iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus. For ease of payments, customers are also eligible to buy the iPhone 8 under no cost EMI on Amazon India starting Rs 5,334 per month. However, no cost EMI is only valid if the purchase for the smartphone is made via credit cards. Flipkart is also offering no cost EMI and an exchange offer for buying the new iPhones. You can buy the Apple iPhone 8 (64GB) at a no-cost EMI of Rs 5,334, while the iPhone 8 Plus starts at an EMI of Rs 6,084. In India, the Apple iPhone 8 is priced at Rs 64,000 and Rs 77,000 for the 64GB and 256GB variants respectively. The iPhone 8 Plus, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 73,000 and Rs 86,000 for the 64GB and 256GB variants respectively. The highlight of the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus is the glass sandwich design, which was last seen on the iPhone 4s. This time around, Apple claims that the glass is the most durable ever in a smartphone .
