Apple iPhone 8 leak yet again confirms design, display embedded fingerprint sensor

Latest Apple iPhone 8 cases are already up for sale on a UK e-commerce portal.

Apple iPhone 8, the 10th anniversary special device, is nearing a launch with each passing day and leaks surrounding the phone get stronger. The latest set of leaks may not show us the phone, but rather they talk about the iPhone cases. The cases give a fair idea of the what the upcoming smartphone will look like. There have been conflicting reports when it comes to the design of the iPhone 8, and also iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. However, the latest cases pretty much solve the mystery and clearly tell us how the most special iPhone will look. Also Read - Common marketing gimmicks that brands should avoid to exploit consumers

The cases are already up for sale on UK e-commerce portal MobileFun. The screen protector was already listed before the cases, and gave an ideas of the iPhone 8 display. The cases are created by Olixar and the company has designed cases for flagships like iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S8 in the past too, revealing the design details well in advance. The listing was first spotted and reported by Forbes, and gives two options for the iPhone 8 cases. First is the front tempered glass panel to protect the display. The second includes a range of cases right from a snap on transparent back cover to more stronger and colored cover cases. The carbon fibre cases come with a back cutout for the Apple logo and reveal the back design. As the cases clearly show, the one thing thankfully missing is a cutout on the back for the fingerprint sensor. Clearly, the phone will come with the much-rumored display embedded fingerprint sensor, and not the rear fingerprint sensor as some had feared. This also means that the front is entirely physical button free. The back cover also shows that the phone will come with a vertical dual-camera placed on the top left. The tempered glass reveals that the phone will sport a near bezel-less avatar and there will be a small cutout on the top for the front camera and the speaker grille. As much as people hated the cutout, it clearly is here to stay until Apple figures out a completely bezel-free design.

The iPhone cases are priced starting $12.99 (approximately Rs 850) and go right up to $31.99 (approximately Rs 2070). The phones are already up for sale. Unfortunately, the listing does not describe any other features of the iPhone 8. Some of the known features on the iPhone 8, iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus are the lack of a 3.5mm jack, lightning connector to charge the device and the power and volume buttons on the side. As recent Apple patents have shown, Apple has created a technology to embed the fingerprint sensor under the power button, something that the iPhone 8 might just sport — but there have been no leaks to suggest the same so far.
